    The Town of Arnprior 2026 Budget was adopted February 2nd, 2026. The process to adoption included public consultations on December 3, 2025, budget proposal by the Mayor on January 12, 2026, and budget deliberations on February 2, 2026.

    2026 Pet Registration Now Open
    You can now register your dogs and/or cats and receive their 2026 pet tags both in-person and online. Online registration is now open at  Dec 31, 2025
  • Waste Collection Changes as of January 1, 2026

    Starting in January 2026, recycling Blue Box program will be managed by Miller Waste Systems. This change in service is occurring as Ontario fully transitions recycling to a producer responsibility system.

  • Nick Smith Centre Arena Update December 19th
    We were excited to have both arenas open to the public limiting disruption to the on-ice season, however the mezzanine portion of the project is still ongoing with the opening of these new spaces expected closer to the end of March. With material delays for this aspect of the project now behind us, the Town is excited to see progress on this space in the new year as we eagerly look forward to unveiling these new spaces for the community.
  • New Municipal Parking Lot

    The Town is pleased to announce a new municipal parking lot Downtown Arnprior! The Town has recently purchased 74 John Street North and the lot is being re-opened as a Downtown Municipal parking lot just in time for all your last minute holiday shopping. Please note that the parking is a gravel surface and parking is at your own risk.

    Early Winter Ice Conditions in Arnprior

    As temperatures begin to drop, the waterways around Arnprior are starting to freeze. The Town urges all residents to exercise extreme caution when outdoors near rivers, lakes, ponds, and marsh areas during this early freeze period.

  • Watermain Break

    Update December 5, 2025 7:00 pm: The watermain on Havey Street has now been repaired and water service has been restored to all properties.  Residents within the immediately effected area are advised to run their cold water tap for at least two minutes or until the water runs clear to remove any air from their service lateral.

  • Recall of Northlight Bio Ethanol Portable Tabletop Fireplaces recalled due to fire hazard

    “Immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Rona for further instructions on how to return the product,” Health Canada advises in a  Oct 30, 2025
