The Accessibility and Age Friendly Advisory Committee will provide sound advice and recommendations to Council related to the accessibility of Town programs, services and facilities for all users. They will also serve to promote and facilitate a barrier-free and age friendly community by assisting in the removal and prevention of barriers faced by persons with disabilities and the creation of programs and services that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages.

The Committee of Adjustment and Property Standards Committee considers applications under the Planning Act, as well as appeals under the Town's Property Standards By-law.

The Culture and Diversity Advisory Committee will provide sound advice and recommendations to Council related to cultural programs and activities and diversity, equity and inclusion across the Town of Arnprior and in the community. They will also advise the Town on actions that can be taken to build a more inclusive, respectful and safe community where everyone has equitable opportunities to thrive in our community.

The Environmental Advisory Committee will provide sound advice and recommendations to Council related to environmental issues including sustainable practices, conservation, alternative energy solutions and environmental regulations.

The South Ottawa Valley OPP Detachment Board (the Board) is established under authority of Section 67 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 (CSPA), and its supporting regulations. Entered into force on April 1, 2024, the CSPA recognizes the need for co-operation between policing providers and the communities they serve and further upholds the principle that police services and police service boards should be representative of the communities they serve.

The South Ottawa Valley OPP Detachment Board is formed by the seven municipalities served by the Renfrew and Area OPP Detachment, including the Towns of Arnprior and Renfrew and the Townships of Admaston/Bromley, Greater Madawaska, Horton, McNab/Braeside and Whitewater Region. One member of each municipal council, two members of the public and two members appointed by the Province make up the composition of the Board. Mayor Lisa McGee has been appointed by Council to sit on this Board.

The duties and functions of this Committee are to develop recommendations to Council with respect to salary, benefits, auto allowance, and all other direct/ indirect compensation for elected officials. This Committee will also review existing policies and practices related to compensation as well as participation on Advisory Committees and Local Board, for elected officials, to be implemented the next term of Council (2026-2030).
