Robert Simpson Park Temporary Closure: Roadway and Washrooms
The Robert Simpson Park washrooms will be closed from Wednesday July 14th until Friday July 24th to allow for work associated to water connections for the new splashpad. There are portapotties adjacent to the beach for public use during this timeframe.
The roadway into Robert Simpson Park from John Street will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians on Wednesday July 14th from 7AM to 5PM. The parking lot will be unavailable and travelling this road will not be possible in this timeframe. This closure is required so that the watermain under the roadway can be exposed, and a new connection established. The beach will remain open but will only be accessible via the waterfront trail which extends from the Library, past the Marina to the beach. Parking is available at the Marina (at the end of Ottawa Street). For the safety of the public and workers, obey signage and worker direction.
