Pollinator Week and Pic-a-Pollinator Photo Contest
Council proclaimed June 22nd to 28th, 2026, as Pollinator Week in the Town of Arnprior, and encourages all residents to learn more about pollinators, plant native species that support pollinators, support local bees and beekeepers, and continue to promote the health and wellbeing of pollinators in our community. Pollinators move pollen between flowers, allowing plants to reproduce, creating the foundational habitats, food, and shelter that support all other wildlife in the ecosystem.
A pollinator is anything that transports pollen grains from one flower to another including:
- Bees
- Birds
- Bats
- Butterflies
- Moths
- Flies
- Wasps
- Beetles
Take a photo of a pollinator at work and post it in the comments or e-mail it to adean@arnprior.ca to be entered into the draw to win a pollinator prize pack and have your photo featured on social media and the Town’s website!
