Welcome to Youth Club! An initiative that began in the Fall of 2023 with funding from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities that helps removes the physical and financial barriers to participating in sport. Youth Club members get all access to youth drop-in programs including sledge hockey, Junior Youth Night, Youth Night, Craft Programs and events while receiving subsidized afterschool programming and sports program.
This program operates annually under two seasons, January-May and September-December. With the addition of the Girls in Sport Program this summer, the fall 2026 season will feature July and August and be known as Summer/Fall.

The Town of Arnprior's Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Girls in Sport Program! Thanks to a generous grant from Canadian Tire Jumpstart, we are proud to offer a girls-only, multi-sport program designed to break down barriers to participation and foster a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment where female athletes can thrive. Participants will be introduced to different sports each week such as basketball, yoga, martial arts, rugby, dance and even a field trip to a Rapids FC Soccer Game. Every sport is taught by an experienced and passionate coach that strives to create a fun and inclusive environment. Over the course of the program, participants will experience building confidence, friendships, and physical literacy skills. This is more than just a sports program. It's a space where every girl belongs. We can't wait to see you on the court, field, and beyond!
| Who runs this program? |
| Every session is led by female recreation staff, all certified in First Aid and HIGH FIVE training, with a strong background in sport and active living. |
| Who can register for this program? |
| Any girl between the ages of 4 and 13 is welcome to join. And for the girls who are 14+ we're proud to offer our empowering LeadHERship program! |
| What is the cost of this program? |
|
A Youth Club membership is required and covers participants ages 4-13. Once you have the membership, the program is free. Girls joining the LeadHERship program do so as volunteers and are not subject to any charge. |
| What is the LeadHERship program? |
| The LeadHERship program is designed for girls aged 14 and up who want to take their involvement in the Girls in Sports program to the next level. Acting as Junior coaches alongside our Recreation team, participants will develop their leadership skills, build confidence, and gain hands on experience. This is a volunteer-based opportunity with no registration fee. Simply register to get started. |
