Name: Andrew Rodger and The Permanent People

Hometown: band members are in Braeside and Arnprior

Genre: Sadly-optimistic Indie Folk

Brief bio / description: The Permanent People are more of a musical collective than a traditional band, with a focus on building community through music. Based around the songwriting of Andrew Rodger, the first version of the group performed in 2023 at the launch celebration of Andrew's The Alchemy of Clouds album, using the event as a fundraiser for Arnprior Pride. Several more events followed that first launch, with different lineups each time based on band member availability. That has become part of the fun for the group and their fans - who will be the "Permanent People" at each concert?

 We are very fortunate to call this beautiful part of the Ottawa Valley our home and want everyone to feel as we do - that we are all welcome here to be ourselves, build friendships, and lay down roots for future generations where the rivers meet.

Bio: Cattail Creek is a four-piece, or five-piece if you include “Mando”, the mandolin, a staple feature of the band’s sound. Emerging from the Kanata suburbs of Ottawa, Canada, the band brings a blend of east coast folk with roots in classic Celtic tunes. Their sound blends boot stomping beats with hand clapping vibes brought to life in their feel good stage performances. Cattail Creek will have you on your feet and singing along at the top of your lungs!

Name: Groove Revival

Hometown: Pembroke, ON

Genre: Classic Rock and Country

Bio: Our band began in the year of 2015. When the idea of our band came to me, I already had lead vocalist and drummer ( my dad) there was already a guitar player and I had to learn the bass.  It took us four years to find our perfectly suited guitarist Pat. He was so very shy and it took him a while to grow into who he is now. He never had experience of being in a band, however the beauty in his skill and talents were exactly what we had been looking for.

Genre: Acoustic Rock

Bio - Ryan O'Neill of Arnprior has only been playing gigs around the area for 2 years.

His passion for The Tragically Hip can be seen in every performance. 

His voice and playing will draw you in and make you part of the show as you sing along with many popular songs.

Name: SALC (Seniors Active Living Centre) Brass Ensemble+
Hometown: Arnprior’s own Big Band!
Genre: ”From Big Band to the Beatles”
Bio: The SALC Brass Ensemble+ is made up of a group of talented and retired Arnprior Seniors.  The group plays a varied repertoire that includes big band classics from composers such as Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie to many of your favourite pop/rock bands and performers from the 60’s to the 2000’s, such as the Mamas and Popas, the Doors, Santana, Chicago, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga and of course many of the Beatles greatest hits.  With the recent addition of a talented female vocalist we look forward to entertaining you at beautiful Robert Simpson Park this Summer!

Bio: SILAS is a 3-piece live band playing many of the hits from the 60's to the 90's that have stood the test of time. Whether you love dancing or just listening, SILAS will keep you entertained.

Name: The Average Joes

Genre: Classic rock, pop, country...

Bio: "The Average Joes" are Dave, Joe & Tommy playing songs from the 70s to today. They cover a mix of great songs from country and blues, to pop and classic rock. "Average Joes" playing Awesome Tunes and always having fun!

Bio- We are a 4 piece band with varying musical backgrounds, ranging from Classic Rock, Country, Jazz, and Alternative. Our set list includes songs from a wide variety of artists from the likes of Johnny Cash and Tom Petty to The Tragically Hip and Bon Jovi with many more in between. We are excited about being part of this year's Music in the park lineup!

Park Rules, information and hours of operation are posted on signage at all municipal parks. All parks in the Town of Arnprior have the following rules:

• No alcohol, smoking or vaping
• No camping
• Pets must be kept on their leash
• No open air burning or charcoal BBQs
• Where BBQs are permitted, only CSA approve propane BBQs are allowed
• No littering or dumping
• No motor vehicle access inside park space (other than parking lots)
