The Town of Arnprior is thrilled to create the Older Adults Club as a new membership based recreation project. Thanks to grant funding from the Province of Ontario's Seniors Community Programming Grant, seniors can access a variety of active and social programs while receiving $1.00 off many popular programs.
This project spans September 2025 through March 2026 and can be accessed through a monthly fee of $10 for a total membership fee of $70 for the year.
How it works... Once you've purchased the Older Adults Club membership all of the free programs will appear as a $0.00 purchase. As you go to register for Pickleball, Seniors Swims, Table Tennis and Badminton, the fees will appear as $1.00 less than their typical fee.
Payment plans are available with a $40 payment required at purchase and the other $30 due by January 1, 2025

Learn more about this project...
How did this come about?
The idea of the Older Adults Club came to light with the mindset of complimenting and supporting the Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC). Focusing on programs and activities that exceed the capacity of the SALC, the Older Adults Club aims to provide seniors in our community increased access to recreation. The membership based format was duplicated from the successful Youth Club project started back in 2023 with support of grant funding.
Where will these programs take place?
These programs will mainly occur at the Nick Smith Centre (77 James Street). Select programs will occur in various park spaces, schools, and other recreational facilities in Arnprior.
When will this happen?
We are currently receiving input on the programs and timing. The full schedule and registration information will be available in August. Programming will occur between September 2025 and March 2026.
Who qualifies for this project?
Anyone aged 55 and over qualifies for the Older Adults Club. You do not have to be an Arnprior resident - anyone over 55 can join.
