Beaches
The town of Arnprior boasts beautiful waterfront along both the Madawaska and Ottawa rivers. Along these waterways, the Town has two beaches located at Robert Simpson Park and McLean Park.
Robert Simpson Park Beach

Location: 400 John Street North
Beach Information:
- Over 275 feet of beach front
- Play Structure
- Splash Pad - Open daily 8:00 am to 8:00 pm until Thanksgiving Weekend
- Unguarded Beach - (Closed for the 2024 Season)
- AccessMat (Accessible Beach Mat) - (Closed for the 2024 Season)
- WaterWheels (Accessible Beach and Water Chair) - (Closed for the 2024 Season)
- JAYDOG Canteen - (Open June, weekends only, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm with extended hours for Priorpalooza and School's Out Beach Party. Open July and August daily 11:00 am - 6:00 pm)

Parking Information:
- Parking on the main level offers 65 spaces, including 5 accessible parking stalls.
- Beach level parking offers 7 spaces – 3 accessible spots and 4 standard parking space. All other areas of the waterfront, including the hill are Tow Away Zones.
- Overflow parking on weekends is available at no cost in the rear parking lot of the Arnprior Hospital.
- A Park Attendant will be on-site Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30am-6:30pm to support safe park environment.

McLean Park Beach

Location: 178 McLean Avenue
Amenities:
- Over 250 feet of waterfront
- Waterfront for swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and canoeing (unguarded)
- Large Picnic Area with Picnic Benches
- Picnic Benches
- Play Structure
- Washroom Facilities across the street at Optimist Wayne Lavallee Park - Open daily 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
- 3 lighted Ball Diamonds – 2 fastball and 1 baseball across the street at McLean Avenue Ball Diamonds
- 3 Disc Golf Nets – across the street at McLean Avenue Ball Diamonds

Beach Rules:
- Parents or guardians must directly supervise their children (12 and under) at all times
- Guarded Beaches: Please obey the lifeguards on duty. They reserve the right to develop and enforce additional guidelines for the safety of all swimmers
- No swimming at night
- No alcohol, smoking or vaping
- No glass
- No camping
- Pets are not permitted on municipal beaches or designated swim areas
- Pets must be kept on their leash
- No open air burning or charcoal BBQs
- Where BBQs are permitted, only CSA approve propane BBQs are allowed
- No littering or dumping
- No feeding the birds
- No motor vehicle access (other than parking lots)
- The Beach may be closed at any time due to weather, maintenance or other operational concerns
When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors!
- Stop all activities
- Seek shelter in substantial building or hard-topped vehicle
- Wait 30 minutes after storm to resume activities
- Following the directions of the lifeguard on duty
