You can now register your dogs and/or cats and receive their 2026 pet tags both in-person and online. Online registration is now open at www.arnprior.ca/pets and residents can also request their 2026 pet tags in-person at Town Hall. Please note that 2026 pet registrations are free until February 28th, 2026.

Starting in January 2026, recycling Blue Box program will be managed by Miller Waste Systems. This change in service is occurring as Ontario fully transitions recycling to a producer responsibility system.
As of January 1st, for any recycling related questions or issues, please contact Miller Waste by telephone at 1-855-752-3257 or by email at area3@millerwaste.ca.
The province will also be switching to an enhanced recycling system which will change what and how items are sorted for recycling:

We were excited to have both arenas open to the public limiting disruption to the on-ice season, however the mezzanine portion of the project is still ongoing with the opening of these new spaces expected closer to the end of March. With material delays for this aspect of the project now behind us, the Town is excited to see progress on this space in the new year as we eagerly look forward to unveiling these new spaces for the community.

Update December 28th:
It’s Opening Day at the Sullivan Rink of Dreams. Lights on and skate shack open until 930pm. Please take care of the space and share the ice. Special thanks to our recreation staff and firefighters for helping get this ODR ready.Staff have been working to have our outdoor rinks ready for the holiday season. Work is already underway at the Sullivan Rink of Dreams at Legion Park and the outdoor rink at Sergeant Howard Slater Park in Village Creek. Ice building will commence...

The Town is pleased to announce a new municipal parking lot Downtown Arnprior! The Town has recently purchased 74 John Street North and the lot is being re-opened as a Downtown Municipal parking lot just in time for all your last minute holiday shopping. Please note that the parking is a gravel surface and parking is at your own risk. The Municipality is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or contents. There is no overnight winter parking.
