Outdoor Rink Update: January 13th, 2025

With the mild temperatures and snowfall, the Sullivan Rink of Dreams is closed until further notice. Work continues on the rink at Sergeant Howard Slater Park, but it remains closed. Work on the outdoor rink at Caruso Park will not commence until the first two rinks have been opened.

We ask the public to please remain off these surfaces until they are open to ensure they can be ready in a timely manner.

Outdoor Rink Update: January 10

After a day of maintenance on our outdoor rinks, the Sullivan Rink of Dreams will open for the season tomorrow morning, Saturday January 11. Both the Caruso Park and Sergeant Howard Slater Park rinks remain under maintenance. Updates on these will be posted when available.

Applications Open for 2025 Town of Arnprior Awards

The Town of Arnprior is seeking nominations from members of the community who represent outstanding volunteerism and community involvement.

Public Notice - 2025 Budget Consultations

Annually, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior considers public feedback in the budget process.  The 2025 public budget consultation meeting was held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers with several community organizations making presentations to Council.

Many factors affect ice thickness including type of water, location, the time of year and other environmental factors such as:

• Water depth and size of body of water.
• Currents, tides, and other moving water.
• Chemicals including salt.
• Fluctuations in water levels.
• Logs, rocks, and docks absorbing heat from the sun.
• Changing air temperature.
