The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a Flood Warning for Pembroke District. Rising water levels may pose risks to the health and safety of residents. Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is advising residents to take precautions to protect their drinking water, septic systems, and personal safety.

The Town of Arnprior has taken measures to prepare for potential flooding.
A sandbagging station has been set up at the McLean Ball Diamonds for residents who may require sandbags. There is information on flood preparation and sandbagging methods on the Town's Emergency Management page.

The Operations Department will be conducting spring hydrant flushing throughout the Town between April 17th and May 1st.
During this time, it is possible that the water may appear slightly discoloured within the area being flushed. If discoloured water is detected, please open your COLD water taps and allow the water to run for at least 5 minutes, or until water is clear. The coloured water is not hazardous to health. The Town of Arnprior has closed a section of Gillies Trail (Waterfront Trail) due to overland flooding and to ensure public safety (red areas of map). The trail is closed from Albert Street through to the Boat Launch. We ask the public to refrain from entering these areas and ask that you exercise caution near any waterways in the coming days, especially at Robert Simpson Park Beach, Bell Park and McLean Beach.
