Parks Update - April 24, 2026

Play Structures – all play structures are OPEN

Swings – all swings will be installed and operational by May 1

Gillies Trail (Waterfront Trail) – The trail remains CLOSED between Albert Street and Robert Simpson Park due to overland flooding. Please avoid the area and be cautious around all waterways.

Skate Park – the Skate Park is open daily from 7am-9:30pm at the Nick Smith Centre. Watch for more news coming on our new skate park coming this summer!

Splash Pads – The new splash pad at Art Dodds Park (formerly Fairview Park) will be open by May 8. The splash pad at Robert Simpson Park will open temporarily at that time until the Robert Simpson Park Refresh Project commences in June.

Pitch-In Week – While it officially runs April 27 – May 3, you can pick up your Pitch-In Kits, sponsored by Arnprior Home Hardware, at the Nick Smith Centre and help us clean up our community parks and trails.
