Bert Hall Arena has re-opened following a 7-month revitalization project. We are excited to welcome the public back inside both arenas, however work will continue in some areas through the month of November to complete this project in full. As work continues in both arenas, please follow all signage and always remain outside of these work areas.
What is complete
- New arena floor, refrigeration lines, boards, glass and protective mesh
- New arena stands, accessible ramps, accessible seating and comfort heating
- New rubber flooring, rehabilitated and repainted roof trusses and new sound system
- Refreshed dressing rooms (new benches, new paint)
What’s still to come
- New scoreboard (temporary scoreboard in place for time being)
- Completion of all arena stands and spectator heating
- Further accessibility enhancements (door operators, elevator, seating)
- Rubber flooring in various areas of both arenas and dressing room hallways
- Further cosmetic enhancements (painting & finishings)
- Mezzanine Viewing Room, Meeting Rooms (x2), Storage Rooms (x4)
- Canadian Pro Shop (Skate Sharpening Shop)
- Revitalized Alternate Change Room (Larger space, accessible enhancements)
NSC Housekeeping
- The mezzanine area will remain an active construction site and will be off limits to all users. This space is anticipated to officially open in December
- There is no bench access from behind or the ends of the bench. Coaches, officials and players must access the benches from the ice
- The alternate change room remains under renovation and is anticipated to be available for use sometime in November
- Users needing use of the scoreboards need to sign-out the controller at the front desk
- The Zamboni ramp and scoreboard goal end (Glenn Arthur Arena) is off limits, always
- The Canadian Pro Shop is currently operating off-site. You can reach out to them via their Facebook page to schedule off-site sharpening. They will return to operations in the arena sometime in November
- The Canteen will return to regular operations with the re-opening of the Bert Hall Arena
