Delegation – Ottawa Valley Strikers Cricket Club
Members of the Ottawa Valley Strikers Cricket Club updated Council on the sport and participation in Arnprior and surrounding area. The Club has purchased artificial turf to assist in creating a better playing pitch at the Wayne Lavalee Baseball Diamond at McLean Avenue Park and have asked Council to provide a levelled area to install the material, which will not affect the use of the diamond for baseball. Work is anticipated to be completed as part of the spring operating budget.
Presentation – Cultural Night Market
Council received a presentation from the Manager of Culture/Curator, Emily Stovel on the events and programs from the past several months, including the very successful Cultural Night Market held in August.
Water Filtration Plan Clearwell Replacement – Prequalification Report
Council authorized staff to tender the defined scope of work for the Water Filtration Plant Clearwell #1 Replacement by invitation to a list of vendors prequalified through an open and transparent Request for Proposal (RFP) process, as outlined in this report.
Council also pre-committed funds in the amount of $4,100,000 to be funded from the following sources: ICIP Green Stream Grant Funding $1,649,925, OCIF 2026 Formula Funding $1,004,990 and the Water Reserve Fund $1,445,085.
Website Migration Project
Council authorized staff to move forward with a website migration project with funding to a maximum of $24,500 being funded from the Marketing and Economic Development Reserve Fund. Migrating the Town’s website to a new platform should be a seamless process with no impact on the public’s ability to access all the information and services currently available on the website.
