2023 Santa Claus Parade

Glenn Arthur, President of this year’s Arnprior Santa Claus Parade, presented Council with an update of the planning underway for this popular event. The parade follows the same route as last year and will take place on Saturday, November 25^th, 2023 at 6:00 PM.

Draft Plan of Subdivision – Westhaven Gate – Fourth Avenue

Council authorized the holding of an upcoming public meeting to discuss an application for a draft Plan of Subdivision for lands located on Fourth Avenue. Staff outlined the application in a staff report. The Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14^th, 2023 at the Regular Meeting of Council.

Community Improvement Plan Grants Award

Council approved Community Improvement Plan Grants for the following:

44 Elgin Street West – Sign improvements
50 Madawaska Street – Façade improvements
12 Thomas Street – Brownfield Remediation Tax Assistance Program (BRTAP)

Resolutions

Council approved a request from the It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child Hockey Tournament to provide in-kind support through waiving of rental fees for the Nick Smith Centre for their tournament being held on November 17^thand 18^th, 2023.

Proclamations

Council issued proclamations for the following important dates:

Local Government Week (October 15^th to 21^st, 2023)
Waste Reduction Week (October 16^th to 22^nd, 2023)
Small Business Week (October 15^th to 21^st, 2023)
