Whereas the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its final report on June 2, 2015, which included 94 Calls to Action to redress the legacy of residential schools and advance the process of Canadian reconciliation;
And Whereas the recent discoveries of remains and unmarked graves across Canada have led to increased calls for all levels of government to address the recommendations in the TRC’s Calls to Action;
And Whereas all Canadians and all orders of government have a role to play in reconciliation;

Beginning September 22, 2021, the Provincial Government will require users of the Nick Smith Centre to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination (vaccine receipt) along with identification to access the Nick Smith Centre. The washrooms and splash pad at Robert Simpson Park will be open from 8 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. The Public is reminded that the beach is only guarded from June through August and the buoy lines are now removed from the river. Effective Friday, September 3, 2021, vehicle access to the lower beach level of Robert Simpson Park will re-open. Drivers are reminded that access includes a steep hill with a blind corner and are asked to be mindful of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

The Town would like to thank the Arnprior Rotary Club for their generous donation of two Cyclohalt Deluxe Bicycle Repair Stations which have been installed along two trails in the Town of Arnprior.
