It is with heavy heart that the Mayor has requested the Town to lower our flags to honour the 751 children and adults found in unmarked graves in Saskatchewan. Flags will remain lowered for 751 hours, one hour for every life that was taken to honour the memory of the thousands of children who were sent to residential schools, for those who never returned and in honour of the families whose lives were forever changed. Public Notice of Intention to Pass a By-law to Rename an Existing Municipal Road
Take Notice that Council, at their regulation meeting of May 25, 2021, approved Report Number 21- 05-25 to rename an existing municipal road from Gordon Ferguson Place to Gordon Fergusson Place.
When the subdivision plan was registered, Fergusson was spelled incorrectly with one “s” instead two “ss”. To respectfully commemorate Gordon Fergusson and his service, Council elected to correct the spelling in the street name.
