Watermain Break

Update December 5, 2025 7:00 pm: The watermain on Havey Street has now been repaired and water service has been restored to all properties.  Residents within the immediately effected area are advised to run their cold water tap for at least two minutes or until the water runs clear to remove any air from their service lateral.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we worked to restore service.

Northlight Bio Ethanol Portable Tabletop Fireplaces recalled due to fire hazard

Northlight Bio Ethanol Portable Tabletop Fireplaces have been recalled over a fire hazard.

“Immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Rona for further instructions on how to return the product,” Health Canada advises in a recall notice posted on Oct. 21. 

Recalled fireplaces were sold between January 2024 and October 2025.

Nick Smith Centre Arena November Update

Bert Hall Arena has re-opened following a 7-month revitalization project. We are excited to welcome the public back inside both arenas, however work will continue in some areas through the month of November to complete this project in full. As work continues in both arenas, please follow all signage and always remain outside of these work areas.

We are excited to welcome the public back inside both arenas, however work will continue in some areas through the month of November to complete this project in full.
