Road construction season is ramping up in the Town of Arnprior! The below project timelines are currently anticipated for 2023, however please be advised that schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, changes in the provision of materials and/or availability of staff.
The Town of Arnprior asks for everyone’s help in ensuring safe and efficient work zones. We encourage residents to avoid all construction zones, however, should residents be travelling within the construction zones we urge you to proceed with caution and follow the directions provided by traffic control personnel and posted construction signage.
We ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation during the construction season, however, should a member of the public have any concerns or questions of a general nature, please contact the Operations Department at 613-623-4231.
Rolling Road Rehabilitation: Cranston, Smolkin, Gardner and Maple
Cranston St. from Smolkin to Maple Dr., Smolkin St., Gardner and Maple Dr. will be getting repaved and new curbs and sidewalks. Cranston St. will also be receiving traffic calming street markings and new sidewalk links to the AJ Charbonneau Public School pathway. Work is to begin around June 26 and be completed early September.
Signalized Intersection Realignment of Daniel / Edey / Galvin Streets
The lights at Daniel and Edey St. are being relocated and the roadway realigned to create a 4 way intersection with Edey, Galvin and Daniel St., along with replacing the culvert under Edey St.. Work is planned to begin early June and be completed by mid September.
Caruso and Legion Park Upgrades
A pair of Arnprior parks are being upgraded this summer! Caruso Park will have a new play structure and pathway. Legion Park will have a new play structure featuring a rubber play surface to support accessibility and safety, along with paved pathways connecting the structure to Edey St. and Wilfred Cr.
