On behalf of Council and staff of the Town of Arnprior, I would like to congratulate Darrel O’Shaughnessy on being a recipient of the Ontario Senior Achievement Award. Due to ongoing vandalism at the public washrooms at Robert Simpson Park, these amenities will be closed for the season effective immediately. The splash pad with remain open while temperatures remain favourable.

Beginning September 22, 2021, the Provincial Government will require users of the Nick Smith Centre to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination (vaccine receipt) along with identification to access the Nick Smith Centre. The washrooms and splash pad at Robert Simpson Park will be open from 8 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. The Public is reminded that the beach is only guarded from June through August and the buoy lines are now removed from the river. Life rings are located on the lifeguard chair and affixed to the ‘No Swimming’ sign at the point where the rivers meet.
