Winter Maintenance Update

In preparation for the upcoming winter event starting Thursday evening, continuing through Friday and into Saturday morning, this is just a friendly reminder to give our snowplow operators room to work which includes:

• Please do not pass a working snowplow.
• Winter parking restrictions are currently in effect. Parking on Town streets and municipal parking lots is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM until March 31^st, 2023.
• Waste collection bins should be 5-6 feet back from the roadway in your driveway.
• Any obstacles such as basketball nets impeding the roadway must be removed.
• All snow removed from driveways must remain on the property and not pushed onto municipal roadways and/or sidewalks.

Due to the significant snowfall accumulation anticipated for Friday and the potential for reduced visibility and blowing snow, please be patient as waste collection crews will be taking a little longer in collecting recycling materials in Section 4. Should weather conditions become unsafe for collection crews, waste collection may be suspended. If this occurs, the Town will provide an update on the Town’s website and social media channels regarding next steps.
