The Town of Arnprior is excited to be the first municipality in Renfrew County to launch Zencity, a new way for residents to share their ideas and feedback online. The County of Renfrew has signed a three year agreement that will provide the Town with access to this new online platform making engagement more accessible to residents online. The platform allows residents to visit the Arnprior page and see all projects and engagement opportunities the Town is seeking feedback on. Residents can see information about the project, project timelines, supporting documents, important dates and, if applicable, participate in surveys or idea boards to provide their feedback and comments.
The Town of Arnprior has two projects currently open for feedback regarding upgrades to Caruso and Legion Parks and the design of the waterfront trail. The projects were introduced during an Open House held April 12th at the Nick Smith Centre.
The first project is upgrades being completed to Caruso and Legion Parks. Caruso Park will have a new play structure and pathway installed. Legion Park will have a new play structure featuring a rubber play surface to support accessibility and safety, along with paved pathways connecting the structure with entry points at Edey Street and Wilfred Crescent. The public is invited to visit the website to view the play structure options and submit feedback on your preferred choice.
The second project is a major recreational trail project that will see improvements to the waterfront trail from Madawaska Street to the Robert Simpson Park beach. This section of the trail will soon feature a paved pathway including lighting, benches and waste and recycling receptacles, supporting active transportation and accessibility for our residents and visitors. Visit the website to view design mock-ups and provide feedback on the pathway design.
These survey’s are open for feedback until April 21, 2023, but we encourage residents to monitor the website or sign up for notifications to be advised of future opportunities for engagement.
