(ARNPRIOR, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating widespread graffiti at Robert Simpson Park in Arnprior and the Red Pine Boat Launch in McNab-Braeside.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Renfrew OPP received reports of multiple signs and property being graffitied at Robert Simpson Park. The symbols are known hate-motivated images, but investigators cannot speculate on the motivation of the person or people responsible.
On Thursday, May 8, 2025, another report of vandalism was sighted at the Red Pine Boat Launch and surrounding areas in McNab- Braeside.
Graffiti is vandalism and that is a crime, regardless of the intention.
Renfrew OPP will be conducting additional focused patrols in area to deter and intercept criminal activity.
