Notice of Road Closures & Noise By-law Exemption December 1st and 2nd

Council has approved a noise by-law exemption and road closures on December 1st/2nd, 2025 to allow for the filming of a movie at various locations throughout the Downtown.

• Monday, December 1st: filming between on John St. N. and Rock Ln. E. from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm, with equipment removal until 11:00 pm. There is an exemption to the noise by-law for the area of John St. N. between 133 John St. N. and 153 John St. N. and Rock Ln. E. between John St. N. and Daniel St. N. for Monday, December 1st , 2025 allowing noise until 11:00 pm. There will be parking stall closures along these areas of John street and within the municipal parking lot and Rock Lane will be closed to traffic.
• Tuesday, December 2nd: filming near 24 Elgin St. W. from 4:30 pm until 11:30 pm, with equipment removal until 12:30 am. There is an exemption to the noise by-law for the area of Elgin St. E. between John St. N. and Daniel St. N. for Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, allowing noise until 12:30 am. There will be parking stall closures along these areas of Elgin Street and John Street between Elgin Street and McGonigal Street along with occasional traffic and pedestrian stops on Elgin Street.
