Job Type: Part-time, Fixed-Term (April – December) Location: Arnprior & District Museum
Wage: $20.21 – 23.77 per hour
Hours: Days, evenings, weekends
Reporting directly to the Manager of Culture/Curator, the Museum Education Coordinator (MEC) is responsible for organizing and executing the Museum’s educational programming for local schools, children, and adults.
The primary responsibilities for this position include (but not limited to) the following:
The successful candidate will have as a minimum the following qualifications:
Engagement with and interest in new Museum practices and openness to the novel practices of an inclusive community-focused organization.
Engaged with Arnprior + District Museum’s experimentation approach to community and educational development (training and research provided).
Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum and working with schools.
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people, including students of various ages and abilities.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects with competing demands.
