Fire Fighter Retirement Recognized

Council thanked and congratulated volunteer firefighter Steven Staye for his 25 years of service with the Arnprior Fire Department. On behalf of Council and staff, we wish Steve the best in his retirement from the department.

User Fees and Charges By-law Update

Staff presented Council with a draft update to the User Fees and Charges By-law. To read the staff report and a copy of the draft by-law, please review the January 29^th, 2024 Council agenda. Council will consider adoption of the By-law at the next Regular Meeting of Council to be held on Monday February 12^th, 2024 at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers.

Electric Vehicle Chargers

Council received a staff report regarding a potential grant opportunity to assist with 75% of the installation costs for electric vehicle chargers on municipal property. Following deliberations, Council directed staff to study electric vehicle charger options and report back to Council within two years.

Resolutions

Council approved requests for in-kind support from the following organizations:

Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors At Home Program Inc for the waiving of the Robert Simpson Park Gazebo rental fees for the 2024 Memorial Butterfly Release Event to be held on August 18^th, 2024.
Grace St. Andrew’s United Church for waiving the Nick Smith Centre Community Hall rental fees for the 2024 Christmas Craft to be held on November 9^th, 2024.
