Edey and Galvin Street Road Closures

Beginning Monday, June 12th, Edey Street (Daniel Street to Gary Crescent) and Galvin Street (Daniel Street to Morall Court) will be closed to vehicular traffic. Detours will be in place, and pedestrian access will be maintained during the school year on Edey Street.

Reason for Service Disruption: Facilitating Beach Improvements for the 2023 Season

This service will be unavailable for the following timeframe: Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at 8:00 AM to Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 8:00 AM

Alternative Routes, Facilities, and/or Services available: All other parks, trails and open spaces remain open in addition to the Nick Smith Centre.

McLean Ave and Riverview Dr Closed

Riverview Drive from Lena Street to Chats Crescent and McLean Ave from Riverview Dr to McNab St are closed due to flooding. Residents are asked to please avoid the area. Seventh Ave may be used as an alternate route if needed. Residents are reminded of the dangers that exist near bodies of water around this time of year and are urged to keep family and pets away from the edges of all waterways.

Service Disruption: Recreation Programming Cancellation

Due to the power outage that we are currently experiencing and with restoration estimated at 7:00pm, we are canceling all aquatic and recreation programs this evening.

The following programs have been cancelled, but will be made up at the end of the scheduled session:

• Swimming Lessons
• Drama Lab
• Toonie Swim
• Lane Swim

If you need access to charging stations or Wi-Fi, both are available at the Nick Smith Centre. Please bring your own charging cable. The facility will be open until 9pm.
