RETT Syndrome Awareness Month

Whereas Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of the individual's life. Fire Prevention Week

Whereas, the Town of Arnprior is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all those living in and visiting Arnprior, as fire is a serious public safety concern both locally and nationally, and homes are the locations where people are at greatest risk from fire; and

Proclamation - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Whereas the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its final report on June 2, 2015, which included 94 Calls to Action to redress the legacy of residential schools and advance the process of Canadian reconciliation;

Condolences from the Mayor

On behalf of Council and staff of the Town of Arnprior, I wish to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jeanette Grant. Jeanette, who passed away earlier this week, was a long-standing member of the Library Board. She was also awarded the Town’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2018 in acknowledgment of the valuable volunteer work she did for our community. We are grateful for her dedication to the Town and its residents.
