The Arnprior Fire Department is pleased to share that the Town is moving to a new online Open Air Burn Permit portal where residents will be able to apply for and receive their burn permits through one central access point. This will make the burn permit application process faster and more accessible for local residents. All 2023 permits will be automatically extended to January 31st, 2024 to allow residents to register and obtain their 2024 Open Air Burn Permit through the new portal.

To encourage at-home composting and reduce the amount of organic material going to the landfill, the Town of Arnprior is partnering with FoodCycle Science to host a pilot program for Arnprior residents with the FoodCyclerTM countertop composter system. We are looking for 100 households to participate in a 12-week monitoring pilot program in exchange for a subsidized cost to purchase a unit.
