The
purpose of this by-law is to regulate the time, manner, extent and nature
of the supply of water in the Town of Arnprior.
| Between
May 1st and September 30th: |
- Residents
at even-numbered municipal addresses may
use water for gardens, lawns, vehicle washing etc. on even-numbered calendar days.
- Residents at odd-numbered
municipal addresses may use water for gardens, lawns, vehicle
washing etc. on odd-numbered calendar days.

Exemptions include:

- With the installation of
significant amounts of new grass, sod or landscaping, residents
shall be able to water each calendar day for a period of one
week.
- Car Wash businesses

The
goal of these restrictions is to limit water consumption during the
hot, dry summer months, when consumption is at its highest rate.
It is important to note that this has no impact on the quality of
water produced it is simply designed to assist in the conservation
of water, thereby reducing the amount of treated water that needs to
be produced to meet the demand. Property owners are asked to
take notice of these restrictions. Your co-operation is
appreciated.
