| Large Garbage Items |
Household appliances
such as stoves, couches and mattresses are not picked up at the
Town's curb side collection. Residents must make their own
arrangement to have them taken away. The landfill site will
accept large household items with a landfill pass. |
| Electronic Waste |
In
an effort to reduce the amount of hazardous substances entering
the landfill, and to increase waste diversion, the Town of
Arnprior
is now separating and recycling Electronic Waste that is brought
to the landfill by residents. For details, Click

| Free Landfill Items |
Residents can drop off
cardboard, leaf and yard waste (including Christmas Trees) at the
landfill site. Please ask the attendant at the site where to
drop off these items. If leaves and yard waste are in
biodegradable paper bags, they can be placed in the area set aside
at the landfill site. If they are in plastic bags, then they
must be removed from the plastic and disposed of appropriately. |

Town of Arnprior has an
Integrated Waste Management Plan and Waste Recycling Strategy that
meets best practice. This is available for perusal at the Town Hall. |
