It's about to get real spooky in Arnprior! Halloween events are back and better than ever. Here's what you need to know.
Saturday October 25, 2025  - 12:00 - 2:00pm
Robert Simpson Park, 400 John Street North
Trunk or Treat takes an inclusive twist on traditional trick or treating. At this event, vehicles are parked in the parking lot of Robert Simpson Park and hand out candy from their trunks to participants. The whole idea here is to have no sensory sensitive decorations, lights or sounds so those who are unable to go door-to-door on October 31 can enjoy the trick or treating experience.
How can you be part of it? We are looking for community help to hand out candy. To sign up, click here and register your vehicle. Please note that the candy you hand out must be prepackaged and bought at a store. No homemade good will be allowed.
Who can participate? Anyone is welcome to come be part of the event. While the event was created for those with sensory sensitivity, we welcome anyone who would like to do some early trick or treating. You do not need to register if you plan on showing up to trick or treat.

Thursday October 31, 2024 - 5:00 - 8:00pm
Nick Smith Centre - Community Hall
Enter the Haunted Hall, if you dare...
Make sure the Nick Smith Centre is on your trick or treating list this year as the entire Community Hall with be turned in to a Haunted House. With hundreds of feet of drapes, items from the ceiling, and hundreds of decorations, this is a must-see.
Rec Staff are in costume and making sure the night is frightful, yet age appropriate. We are able to scale back or up the level of 'scary' based on the age of the child.
What haunted hall wouldn't be complete without candy? Anyone who stops by can enjoy the classic sweet treats.
Is there a cost to this event? No, the hall is completely free to stop in to.
Is there an age restriction? No. All ages are welcome to visit.
Will it be scary or high sensory? We are able to scale back or scale up the level of scary and spooky depending on the age of the child coming through. However, the lights will be off in the hall with strobe lights, black lights, and other decorative items that will make it a high sensory.
