Building owners are
responsible to ensure smoke alarms are installed,
maintained, and functioning. Tenants should test smoke
alarms in their apartments and notify landlords of any
problems or concerns.
|
|
Top Ten Fire Safety Tips |
- Install smoke alarms
on each level of your home and outside sleeping
areas.
- Make sure you have two
clear exits from any room
- Never smoke while
drowsy or when you are in bed
- Use sturdy , non-tip
ashtrays and check for smouldering cigarette butts
in furniture, especially after parties.

is cooking unattended.

care. Keep them away from combustibles
- Have your chimney and
central heating system inspected once a year
