Decoration Day - Arnprior Cemeteries

The Decoration Day for Arnprior is held annually on the fourth Sunday in August, in memory of loved ones resting at the Albert Street and Malloch Road Cemeteries. A non-denominational memorial service for both cemeteries will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Albert Street Cemetery. Please be advised the gates at the Albert Street Cemetery will be closed on Decoration Sunday in order to avoid traffic problems. Through the generosity of Madawaska Golf Course a golf cart will be provided for individuals that require assistance. There will be a Town employee available to drive visitors to their destination. For your comfort we recommend that you bring your own lawn chairs. Persons wishing to decorate graves are asked to remove flowers and/ or holders by Monday, September 5, 2011, after which time they will be removed by Town staff. |
